Artist's Comments

The result of a project we were given in visual imaging in order to learn Adobe Illustrator. Vector has always eluded me and it was very gratifying to see this car come together (and actually look like a car!).

The original car and inspiration was a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera.

NICE! nice, nice. Add a ground plane shadow to really finish it.

Psst the word is eluded, as in it has been elusive to you.

Oh of course it is... thanks.

And even the shadow eluded me. I tried a few times in class before I had to submit it but nope. So my car shall forever be floating in its orangey goodness.

Good job, I like the reflections however I think they'd look better if they had a slightly lower opacity.

The very well may've done. For our assignment though we were suppose to try and make it look as much like the template as possible and that's how they were there.

Thanks. It's been my favourite project thus far and it took me forever. My final image had 228 layers... it impressed me anyway. :hug:

Looking at the car, it looks like the light is pprojected from up and to the right, so maybe rather than try to add a shadow behing/beyond the car, you could just lighten it under the lower right edge of the car, hinting that light is just going under that area where a driver might stand, near the door,and such. It may well serve to indicate the the orangey goodness is already a shadow.

I remember I attempted shadows for a little too long after I had completed the car and by that point I had been up till four, slept, woke up at six, worked on it most of the day in school and had half an hour before I could hand it in... so Ta Da! done.

But I appreciate the input.
